Lisboa – Fátima – Santiago

On this trip we will visit the northern part of the neighboring country, starting off in its capital, Lisbon to pass later through Fátima, place of pilgrimage for the Portuguese, then O Porto, Portugal’s second largest city and ending up our tour in Santiago de Compostela, destination of thousands of pilgrims every year.

Program

Day 1: Flight to Lisboa

The group will be welcomed by a tourist guide who will be with us the whole journey.

Day 2: Lisboa – Fátima

We leave the city in the morning by bus towards our next destination, Fátima.   Upon arrival, guided tour of the city. We’ll stop on our way to visit the city of Tomar.

At night, there’s the possibility to attend to a Mass in Fátima.

Day 3: Fátima

Morning Mass guided tour of the city with one of Fátima’s official tourist guides. We’ll specially see the Basilica.  Free time in the afternoon to have a walk around this nice city.

Day 4: Fátima – Coimbra – Viseu – Porto

We leave Fátima in the morning. First we’ll stop in Coimbra, where the oldest and most famous university Portugal’s is located. Guided tour of the Cathedral and the convent of Santa cruz. Then we’ll travel to Viseu where we’ll have a guided tour, we’ll specially see the old town of Medieval origin , the Cathedral and the Museo Grao Vasco.

Day 5: Porto

In the morning, guided tour of the city with an official tourist guide. Porto is the second largest city in Portugal and  a important business center. We’ll visit the Cathedral, the stock market and the church of Sao Francisco among others.

Later there’s the possibility to visit a winery where you can taste the Porto wine, typical for this region.

Day 6: Flight to Santiago de Compostela

Today we’ll  travel by bus along the Camino Portugués, passing by some of its most important cities such as: Barcelos, Ponte da Lima, Tuy and Pontevedra.

Day 7: Santiago.

In the morning we’ll visit the market town plaza de Abastos and later the Cathedral, the oldest in Spain.   At 12 noon we’ll attend to the Pilgrim’s Mass which is held every day at this time. Free time for lunch.

In the afternoon we’ll visit the roof of the Cathedral and later we can have a walk around the old town.

Day 8: Free day, transfer to the airport.
