Cultural Tour around Portugal: Lisboa – Algarve

During this trip, we’ll first visit Portugal’s capital. We’ll continue visiting the Algarve, not only its coast but also the interior where we’ll have the chance to take nice hikes along this pretty mountainous area.
Program
Day 1: Flight to Lisboa
The group will be welcomed by a tourist guide who will be with us the whole trip. Transfer by coach to the hotel in Lisboa.
Day 2: Lisboa
We leave the hotel in the morning and board our coach to enjoy from a panoramic tour of the city during which we’ll see the most important places of Lisboa.
In the morning, guided tour of the city with an official tourist guide from Lisboa. Wel’ll see the quarters of Alfama, the Cathedral and the town center.
Día 3 Day trip to Óbidos, Nazaré and Batalha.
We depart Lisboa en route to Óbidos, our first stop. Upon arrival, guided tour of the city. Then transfer to Nazaré, a small fishing village typical from this region. Afterwards, we continue our journey to Batalha where we’ll visit the monastery of Santa María de la Victoria, a clear example of the Portuguese Gothic art.
Day 4: Day trip to Sintra and Cabo da Rocca.
Today’s trip leads us first to the city of Sintra. On our way we’ll see the summer residence of the former kings of Portugal. Upon arrival, we’ll have a visit of the city focused on the Castillo Real.
Then we continue our way to Cabo de Roca, the mostwestern point Europe`s. On our way back we’ll pass by Cascais and Estoril.
Day 5: Trip to the Algarve.
In the morning, we board our coach to Portugal. From Luz to Ponta da Piedade we will be travelling along the coast.. We’ll stay at Tavira. Free time in the afternoon to have a walk around this nice city.
Day 6: Trip to the interior of the Algarve, Monchinique
In our today’s trip we head for the interior of the Algarve and its mountains. First we travel towards Silvas and later on to Mochique, from where we’ll start off a hike. When talking about the Algarve we think of a quite dry zone, but instead of that and as we’ll see today, the interior is fully green and surrounded by vegetation.
Day 7: Lagos – Ponta de Piedade – Cabo de Sao Vicente
We leave early our hotel to start a trip along the coast, first we travel to the coastal city of Lagos which we’ll also visit. Then we head for Ponte da Piedade where we’ll see nice cliffs. We’ll pass by Sagres to visit its castle and to complete our day we’ll visit Cabo San Vicente in the nearby..
Day 8: Olhao – Ria Formosa
Our today’s trip lead us to Olhaos where we’ll see the fish market, as we say in Castilian, “lonja”. Then we head for the natural park of Ria Formosa where we’ll take a nice hike. Free time in the afternoon to enjoy the city of Tavira
Day 9: Free day in Tavira and Transfer to Faro airport.
